Job Opportunities

We are always looking for safe, positive leaders who are excited about working in a kid friendly, recreation setting with young people who have diabetes. A prior knowledge of diabetes is not mandatory, however, a determined willingness to learn more about children and helping them to live effectively with diabetes is an important requirement.

We teach and support these great children so that they learn to manage the challenges of diabetes while enjoying life and refining a healthy level of balance with their diabetes. Our resident summer staff has multiple opportunities to work as a team with our campers in a fun, dynamic, safe recreation setting.

All of our summer job opportunities are residential positions and include the following: Camp Counselors, Administrators, Waterfront Staff, Wilderness Staff, Medical Staff, Dietitians, Kitchen Staff and Maintenance Staff. In addition to our summer staff positions, we also offer positions at some of our year-round camping and retreat programs.

Please note that it is MANDATORY that you complete the CORI/SORI Request Form and the PT Research Release. Both forms are included in the Camp Joslin Staff Application file.

Three letters of recommendation are also required.

An official letter from your local police department stating specifically: "___ (your name) does not have a criminal history and that _____ (your name) is more than safe to work with children at a camp".
